Dicky’s Wreck, Caloundra

Made several trips to this site last week as quite a few people were always jogging past and it rained one day so hard to get set up but Dicky’s Wreck has some potential for good shots – shot on the MK 4 with 24-70mm.

Gnaraloo

We spent a few days up at Gnaraloo last week and couldn’t beleive the increase in whale numbers over the years, you used to see about 10 whales a day there but this time it must have been closer to 70-80 a day. Also managed to get some rare cloud cover up there so took a few landcsape shots as well.

Perth Panorama

If anyone was out last night in Perth they would have seen one of the most colourful sunsets in a long time, we were up in the Lesmurdie hills doing a bit of video work and looking at the clouds but they just didn’t look that promising but within 5 min. the sky really lit up for 30min or more so here’s a panorama I managed to get about 20min after sunset. Another 3 image horizontal stitch with the 24mm tilt/shift lens.(6sec. exposure).

Hillary’s Boat Harbour

I took this image of Hillary’s Boat Harbour back in March but have only just added it to the website this week - there was some great cloud around that week and I’d been to Hillary’s 3 night’s in a row but the sunset never really happened so I made one more trip and ended up getting one of the most intense sunset’s I’d seen.

What’s funny though is I set up in a secluded spot with no one around and then two children came along and sat right in front of me, they sat there for 15 min. so I packed up and went back to my car. From my car I could see them leave straight away so I go back and set up again, you guessed it, they come back and sit right in front again. I didn’t move but they eventually left about 5 min. before this shot – which was a 5 image stitch.

Noble Falls

I was in the Swan Valley area late yesterday so decided to head up to Noble Falls for a bit of a look at the water level and maybe get some shot’s. There’s quite a bit of water around at the moment so the falls are running pretty good.

Ended up with 2-3 good shot’s with this one being a 4 image stitch, had to do the b&w conversation as the colour’s weren’t really outstanding.

This is the other Matilda Bay image I got last week, still not sure which one I prefer the most – think I like this one better. I actually had someone come up and tell me where to shoot from and what to have in the shot, ironically this is the shot they were after.

Windy Harbour

This is one of my favourite place’s to visit, relatively close to Perth, hardly any people and some majestic cliff face’s. Windy Harbour, which is about 150km. east of Augusta also has it’s “unique” townsite where you own the house but not the land – well worth visiting.
