This is the first time we’ve ever seen or photographed a full 360 degree circular rainbow, taken on Saturday afternoon at Cottesloe Beach.

New Ten News Chopper

Today was delivery day for the new Ten News Perth helicopter, an event that we had to get some images of so Paul and I did some air to air shots as it left Heliwest on it’s way to channel 10. We shot about 3-400 images in total with the 3 below taken at Cottesloe Beach.

Thought we’d get some more shot’s of the Burswood helicopter the other day, this time in front of Cottesloe Beach. Also managed to get some shot’s of the surf lifesaving heli about to take off from Floreat Beach.

Cottesloe Pylon

Well, had a few problems with a server and lost a month of post’s so haven’t been able to post for a few week’s – should be back to normal now. Went past Cottesloe Beach last week after a job and noticed the Cottesloe pylon is nearly repaired after it was knocked over in a storm several months ago.

Took a handful of photos for history’s sake, still can’t believe it cost’s more to straighten the pylon than build the average house !

Rescue Helicopter

I’m sure most people will be familiar with this rescue helicopter that cruise’s the beaches of Perth, conducting shark patrol’s mostly. The helicopter is run by www.heliwest.com.au so several time’s over summer we managed to get some image’s of it at work. The image on the left was taken during an actual shark sighting at Cottesloe Beach so it’s interesting looking at the hi-res version with all the people out of the water looking out to sea.
